Vessel operator companies needing additional capital—usually for the purchase of an additional vessel or other capital expenditure—can leverage their existing fleet of vessels to access this capital by selling qualifying vessels to Charter Marine International in exchange for leasing the same vessels.
This sources the needed capital for an affordable lease payment over a set period of 3–5 years.

Fleet operators who need an additional vessel for a contract can usually find a qualifying vessel on the used market and just need a financing solution for the upfront costs of the purchase. CMI is there to assist you with your purchase with an affordable lease.

Members of the team at Charter Marine International have worked in management positions at shipyards and know intimately the steps around constructing a new vessel—from planning, keel laying, to launching and class certifications.
CMI will work with the shipyard and vessel operator company to provide the guarantees required for the shipyard to confidently proceed in completing the vessels required. CMI will then hold title to the vessels during the lease period ensuring that the loan used during construction is repaid over a set period.
